Privacy Policy — Candle Close Timer

Candle Close Timer (“the app”) does not collect, store, or share any
personal information. The app works entirely on your device.
Data the app uses
- Alert sound choice: If you pick a custom alert sound (system sound or
a file from your device), the app stores a reference to that file locally
on your device only. It is never transmitted anywhere.
- Countdown/alarm state: The app stores your armed alert time locally on
your device (using Android’s standard local storage) so the alert still
fires correctly even after a phone restart. This data never leaves your
device.
- Notifications: The app schedules local notifications/alarms on your
device using Android’s built-in
AlarmManager. No data about this is sent
to us or any third party.
Purchases (Pro subscription)
If you choose to purchase the optional Pro subscription, the purchase is
processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, see, or
store your payment details — that information is handled by Google under
Google’s own Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Advertising
The app does not currently display any advertising. If that changes in the
future, this policy will be updated to name the ad network used and link
to their privacy policy before any ads go live.
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Notifications — to alert you when your countdown reaches zero.
- Exact alarms — to fire the alert at the precise time you selected.
- Boot completed — so an armed alert still fires correctly after you
restart your phone.
- Read access to a file you choose (only if you pick a custom alert
sound from your device storage) — used solely to play that sound file as
your notification sound.
Children’s privacy
This app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any
data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same
URL with a new “Last updated” date.
